Brow Lift in Worcester, MA

If you have deep wrinkles in your brow and forehead and want to rejuvenate your facial appearance, consider a brow lift procedure.  Led by Dr. Deborah K. Ekstrom, Salisbury Plastic Surgery in Shrewsbury provides brow lift surgery and other cosmetic procedures to those who want to enhance their appearance in Worcester and nearby communities in Massachusetts.

What Is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift may also be referred to as a forehead lift, and refers to a cosmetic surgery that creates a smooth brow area and forehead by eliminating wrinkles, folds, deep creases, and sagging skin in the brow area. A brow lift tightens the skin above the brows, imparting a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Why Should I Consider a Brow Lift?

A brow lift or forehead lift makes you look younger by eliminating visible signs of the aging process, such as wrinkles, creases, folds, and sagging skin on the forehead.  This procedure results in a fresh, relaxed, alert expression around the eyes instead of an aged, angry, or tired expression caused by furrowed brows. Each brow lift is personally tailored to each unique patient in order to address individual concerns and achieve natural-looking results.

Who is a Good Candidate for a Brow Lift?

Brow lift surgery is a procedure that is safe for almost any adult who is in overall good health. You may be an ideal candidate for a brow lift if the wrinkles on your forehead and brow area give you a tired, sleepy, or angry expression even when you feel otherwise.  If you have already tried temporary solutions, such as dermal fillers to address the furrows in your brow area but would like a more permanent solution, a brow lift may be ideal for you.

How Complicated is the Brow Lift Procedure?

A brow lift is not a complicated procedure and is typically completed in under two hours.  The brow lift may, in some cases, be performed as endoscopic surgery, requiring minuscule incisions, a camera, and special surgical instruments. More complex cases may require open surgery, with slightly larger incisions, typically camouflaged in the hairline. The procedure involves the extraction of fatty bulges from the forehead, tightening of the skin in the brow area and trimming away excess loose skin, resulting in a smoother and younger-looking facial contour.

What Should I Expect While Recovering from a Brow Lift?

Immediately following the procedure, some patients experience soreness, tenderness, bruising, and swelling, and in some cases, skin tightening and a numbing sensation, although these symptoms will resolve themselves in a few days. Most patients will need about 10 to 14 days to recover from the brow lift. We recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise and protect the area from direct sun exposure or any other irritation for at least a month following the procedure.

How Much Does A Brow Lift Cost in Denver?

A brow or forehead lift is tailored to each patient, and the price will depend on the extent of surgical work done, the techniques used, and other factors. Your insurance coverage may not include brow lift surgery when performed as an elective procedure.  To assist patients with costs, our office provides easy financing terms and flexible payment options.
