EMSCULPT® is a non-invasive body contouring procedure that is designed to enhance the strength, function, and appearance of the buttocks or abdomen by toning, defining, and building muscle strength and bulk. EMSCULPT® is the only procedure that actually builds muscle and has a fat melting option in the process to improve muscle size and definition.

EMSCULPT® uses HIFEM® technology, or high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology, to trigger muscle contractions in the treatment area. With this advanced technology, the muscles contract much faster and deeper than contractions that are achieved through standard exercise or weightlifting. As a result, the muscles have to rapidly adapt, causing remodeling that strengthens the muscles and can even reduce the layer of fatty tissue for better visible definition with a selected setting.

How much does emsculpt cost in worcester?

As a cosmetic treatment, most EMSCULPT® treatments do not qualify for insurance coverage; however, to ensure that our patients have access to these procedures, Salisbury Plastic Surgery provides financing (CareCredit®, Alphaeon® Credit) with flexible payment options. The exact cost of your treatment can depend on the area being treated as well as the number of treatment sessions necessary to produce your desired results. Discounted treatment package of 4 typically cost $3,500.00 – $4,000.00. Single session “boost” treatments can cost between $200.00-$300.00.

How is the emsculpt treatment performed?

The EMSCULPT® treatment is a simple process that does not require any anesthesia. During each session, the EMSCULPT® device will be placed onto the desired treatment area, such as the buttocks or the abdomen. Then, HIFEM® energy will be delivered into the muscles. Since this process triggers muscle activity, many patients compare the feeling to a workout. However, this is a painless process and patients are able to relax for the duration of the 30-minute treatment session.

What kind of recovery can I expect from emsculpt?

After the EMSCULPT® treatment, there is no downtime or recovery period necessary. Patients are able to return to work and other normal activities immediately following the procedure. Occasionally, patients may experience mild muscle soreness following their treatment, but this is a normal effect of the EMSCULPT® procedure. A feeling of increased strength and well-being often follows immediately after treatment. Patients may begin to notice results within a few weeks of treatments as the muscles strengthen, increase in size and tone, peaking 8 weeks afterwards. We usually recommend a series of four treatment sessions to achieve optimal results with “boost” treatments if desired or regular workouts to maintain strength and tone.

Are the results from emsculpt permanent?

The EMSCULPT® procedure can produce noticeable body sculpting results including at the abdomen and the buttocks that cannot be obtained even by top level athletes at maximum effort of muscle contraction. We encourage patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to ensure the longevity of their results. “Boost” treatments are available as needed.
