Case 24 • Abdominoplasty
Before and after of a 33 year old mother of 4 who lost weight and would like a tighter abdomen and better contour of her hip rolls and flanks. In addition to an abdominoplasty, 600 cc of fatty tissue were removed from this patient’s back and flanks. “After photos” were taken 5 months post-op. Her scars are still thick and have time to improve.

Case 23 • Abdominoplasty
This is a 31 year old mother of 4 who was interested in getting rid of the extra skin in her abdomen and complained of discomfort of her umbilical hernia with exercise. She is extremely pleased with her new contour and ability to workout without pain. Her scar is 14 months old and will continue to improve.

Case 22 • Abdominoplasty
This 42 year old mother of 2 had concerns of her abdomen sagging and had an abdominoplasty to correct the deformity. More than 5 pounds of skin and fatty tissue were removed from this patient! Since skin higher on the abdomen is lighter in color, when the skin gets pulled down, the umbilicus looks more tan. Her after photos were taken 1 year post-op and the scar will fade from dull pink to a light color over another 6 to 12 months.

Case 21 • Abdominoplasty
Before and after photos of a 34 year old mother of 2 with complaints of diastasis recti (separation of the large abdominal muscles) and skin laxity of the abdomen. She was treated with abdominoplasty. Interestingly, before surgery, her loose skin camouflaged a prominent belly button. Lighter skin from the upper abdomen around the umbilicus contrasts in color and can be treated with skin bleaching agents.
