Meet Dr. Ekstrom
Dr. Deborah K. Ekstrom is a native of the Midwestern US and has adopted New England as her home for the past 30 years.
She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1978. Her initial training in Minneapolis included surgery, micro surgery and psychiatry. In 1983, Dr. Ekstrom entered plastic surgery training at UMass Medical Center and became an associate professor. She then went into private practice with her special professional interests including face and body contouring.
Dr. Ekstrom is an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon. Her special interests include breast surgery, facial rejuvenation using liposuction, dermal fillers and Botox®, and body contouring using a variety of state-of-the art techniques. Dr. Ekstrom works with both Mentor Corporation and McGhan (Allergan) implant companies as an investigator using silicone implants in reconstruction and breast lift patients. She offers “quick recovery” breast augmentation and in-office small volume liposuction in which you save money by paying no hospital fees and no general anesthesia. Customized tummy tuck procedures are also one of her interests.
Watercolor painting, glass flame work, and photography are included in Dr. Ekstrom’s artistic interests, and she enjoys gardening and teaching financial and investment skills to women.
Dr. Ekstrom raised two sons, now grown, and three step-children. She is married and resides with her husband, Jeff, who is an orthopedic surgeon in the central Massachusetts area.
